I have the honour with reference to the enclosed letter to take the liberty of drawing your attention to what I think is a discrepancy.
If not, hope you will forgive my troubling you but the following is a copy of a letter I received from the Hong Kong Government before I left the Colony: -

"Colonial Secretary's Office,
Hong Kong.
24th April 1920.
"Madam,

With reference to your letter of the 17th
"April 1920 I am directed to inform you that yourpension "from the Widows and Orphans Pension Fund amounts to "268.3.8 together with 371.08 which at 3/- to the dollar "amounts to 255.13.2. A grant of 25/- increase has
"recently been made by the Secretary of State for the "Colonies on all stirling widows and orphans pensions so "that you will receive £123.16.10 plus 25% or £68.3.8 "and ₤371.08 payable at the rate of exchange of the day
whichever is the greater. Instructions will be sent to
"the Crown Agents for the Colonies regarding the payment of 'your own pension and of your pension from the widows
